Undeniably one of the most beautiful supercars ever made, the Jaguar XJ220 was, for a brief moment in time, the world’s fastest. The XJ220 is rare, with only 280 made. A 1993 model with only 4,239 miles sold for $483,500 at RM Sotheby’s Elkhart Collection last month.

At its expansive and eclectic Elkhart Collection auction in late October, RM Sotheby’s sold a special example of the rare 1937 Cord 812 Sportsman convertible for $257,600. Less than 3,000 of this model car were ever made.

Chris Warren, our Southwest Sales Manager, stumbled across his pick for $150k while visiting a dealership. He choose a beautiful yellow 2018 Porsche GT3, worth $150k on the nose. According to Chris, you would be “hard-pressed to find a more fun car to drive”.

The “Elkhart Collection” is no more. RM Sotheby’s offered all of them at no reserve and brought in $44.3m. The top sale was a 1952 Ferrari 225 S Berlinetta by Vignale, which brought in $2.8m, followed by 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic by Ghia $2.04m.

Only 142 Arnolt-Bristols were ever produced, 130 of which made it to consumers. The 1956 Arnolt-Bristol Deluxe Roadster by Bertone will be offered at the RM Sotheby’s Elkhart Collection sale this weekend, Oct. 23-24. The pre-sale estimate is $325,000-$375,000.

The RM Sotheby’s Elkhart Collection sale on Friday, October 23 is offering a single-owner 2011 Tesla R80 3.0 Roadster Sport with just under 4,300 miles, and a pre-sale estimate of $60,000-$80,000.

Overlooked for so long, the Alfa Romeo Montreal seems to be getting into the spotlight a lot more lately. RM Sotheby’s will offer a well preserved Montreal with a pre-estimate of $80,000-$100,000 at the Elkhart Collection Sale from October 23-24.
