Looking to start the year on the right foot, RM Sotheby’s 18th annual Arizona auction is bringing style and power in equal measure to Scottsdale.
Bonhams’ Monterey auction is partnered with The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering, and upholds the latter’s reputation for the displaying some of the finest vehicles extant. Out of their docket of over 100 vintage and exotic automobiles, at least 12 have a low estimate exceeding one million dollars.
This year’s Mecum auction in Monterey is a veritable car enthusiast’s candy store; their docket has 600 vehicles for sale over three days, from a Ferrari LaFerrari and a Porsche 911 GT2 Evo to a slew of muscle cars and the first road-going Ford GT40 delivered to America.
In less than a month the Monterey Peninsula will be swarming with automotive enthusiasts and the high-end auctions that cater to them. Traffic will be intense, and the competition fierce.
