The reviews are in and the redesigned 2014 Maserati Quattroporte appears to be a winner. Motor Trend calls the sixth-generation Quattroporte “a stunning piece of auto architecture.” The Quattroporte, considered Maserati’s flagship, has an exotic-sounding name translated into English, quattro porte means four doors. It is a combination of glamor and practicality.
Rumor had it that there was an F12 Berlinetta available to be driven at the Ferrari World Finals event in Spain, so upon my arrival at the track I made sure I was on the list. To my delight, a beautiful Grigio Silverstone car was indeed ready and waiting, and I happily headed off for a 20-minute taste.
Two new Bentley Continental V8 models were unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 9, 2012: The new 4.0 liter, twin turbocharged V8 Continental GT coupé and the GTC convertible. The new Bentley V8 engine features 500 bhp at 6000 rev/min, propelling the car from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds. The car achieves a top speed of more than 180 mph.
The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera has been completely redesigned, but is holding true to the Porsche 911 Carrera ‘evolution, not revolution’ philosophy. The car features a 100 mm (3.9 inch) longer wheelbase and reduced overall height. It’s new lightweight body is an aluminum-steel composite construction and has resulted in a 100-pound weight reduction compared to the previous 911.
