McLaren Automotive was working on a new hypercar to replace the P1. The big surprise was that it gave the new model not another alphanumeric badge, but a name: Senna. It seems a fitting tribute to one of the greatest race drivers in history.
With the introduction the Urus, Lamborghini joins fellow Italian marques Maserati and Alfa Romeo in offering a high-performance SUV. No surprise there; Lamborghini showed the Urus concept more than five years ago. Bentley entered the fray last year, and Ferrari and Rolls-Royce will be next with utility vehicles.

The 2019 Vantage is based on Aston Martin’s new bonded-aluminum vehicle architecture, sharing some structural elements with the new DB11. The stance is more muscular, meaner even, than the outgoing Vantage.

The name was in later years reserved for the factory limos, until the first new Rolls created under the BMW umbrella arrived in 2003 and took on the name. That car went through a Series 2 update, but again, we are now calling that car the Phantom VII.
One must wonder if Porsche doles out year-end bonuses based not only on sales, but also on how many different variants of the 911 the development team can come up with. The recent introduction of the 2018 911T brings the number to 23 currently available in the U.S.
