The 2020 Scottsdale Auctions boasted $226 million dollars in sales between all of the auction houses. This includes supercars, pre-war classics, and even the late Paul Walker’s car collection.
The Cavallino Classic 2020 is coming soon in Palm Beach, FL. Far more than a series of shows, displays and concours judging, the Cavallino Classic is a true enthusiast-based event. While certainly focused on Ferrari, other distinguished marques are prominently celebrated, this year celebrating the 110th anniversary of Alfa Romeo.
At the Mecum auction in Kissimmee, FL this month, one of the two Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT fastbacks featured in the Steve McQueen movie “Bullitt” sold for a breathtaking $3.75M (including buyer’s premium).
Six auction houses are featured, showcasing cars from 1924 to 1941. Marques such as Cadillac, Rolls-Royce, Duesenberg, Auburn, La Salle, Oldsmobile, Buick, and Hispano-Suiza are among the cars up for auction.
As the highly anticipated Scottsdale, Arizona collector-car auctions are fast approaching, exotic Supercars will be one of the most-watched market segments there. In turn, some very interesting supercars with particularly fascinating histories are now coming to market, and they have the potential to generate outsized sale prices.
Supercar highlights this year include a McLaren Senna, Saleen S7, three Ford GT’s,two McLaren 650’s a SRT Viper GTS, and a Dodge Viper at the 49th edition of Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale.
On January 16th Bonhams will be returning for their 9th edition of The Scottsdale Auction. Bonhams will lift the gavel on 110 collector cars spanning automotive history from 1901 to 2009 at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa.
Scheduled for Thursday January 16th and Friday January 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. both days, the RM Sotheby’s auction will present a diverse selection of nearly 170 fine collector vehicles, ranging from the prewar era to the blindingly fast supercars of the present.
A Lamborghini Miura, vintage Porsche, McLaren 675LT, Ford GT and BMW M1 are among the highlights of Gooding & Company’s 2020 Scottsdale Auction. This year’s auction features 170 vehicles.
