Where: Starting and ending at Mohonk Mountain House. Next, driving through the Adirondack, Berkshire, Catskill and Green Mountains, on 1000 miles of twisty, two-lane blacktop.

Eligibility: Limited to 50 sports, racing or GT cars built 1990 or earlier, or any exotic.
Overview: Rich and Jean Taylor have organized 85 1000-mile rallies over the past 23 years and raised $2-million for charity while having fun in the process. Vintage Rallies events are all-inclusive, with luxury hotels, gourmet restaurants, fun things to see and do. Everything is handled for you, including luggage, experienced mechanics and free loaner sports cars if your rally car breaks. Your only personal expense is gasoline for your car!
Sunday, May 17
The rally group will assemble for an afternoon Concours d’Elegance at Mohonk Mountain House, near New Paltz, New York. Dinner and Overnight will be at this National Historic Landmark founded in 1869…it’s still owned and managed by the founding Smiley family! There’s a spectacular new Spa and virtually the entire hotel has just been recently renovated.
Mohonk is easily reached from I-87 and I-84, and rallyists can safely leave tow rigs for the week. If you’re flying in, the organizers will pick you up at nearby Stewart-Newburgh International Airport. If you’d like to arrive early to decompress before the rally, they’ve booked rooms for Saturday night.
Monday, May 18
The rally heads North to Saratoga, New York to visit the neat Saratoga Auto Museum before lunch at the classic Gideon Putnam hotel nearby. After lunch, the group will rally to Mount Equinox and then Hemmings Car Collection in Bennington, Vermont before twisting South to The Cranwell Resort for Dinner and Overnight. The Cranwell was built in 1894 as a private estate in the Berkshire Mountains for John Sloane, a wealthy relative of the Vanderbilts.
Tuesday, May 19
New England 1000 heads North into Central Vermont to drive through the Green Mountains to JJ Hapgood and Vermont Country Store. Lunch is in the historic Inn at Grafton, founded in 1801 and one of the oldest inns in America. The whole historic town of Grafton has kept up its restoration by the non-profit Windham Foundation. It’s very special! In the afternoon, the group rallies back to dinner at trendy Zinc in Lennox, Massachusetts and overnight at The Cranwell.
Wednesday, May 20
The rally heads South through Connecticut to visit private car collections, then to lunch—a classic New England Lobster Bake (or chicken and ribs for those who don’t indulge in lobster)—at the extravagant waterfront home of Bill and Ann Scheffler on Long Island Sound. After lunch, the rally heads to Dinner and Overnight at Mohonk Mountain House.
Thursday, May 21
The group will rally North and West through the Adirondacks. Landing at the famous Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. Not a baseball fan? There are lots of other fun things to see and do in and around Cooperstown. After lunch in the Glimmerglass Restaurant at Otesaga Resort, the final stages of the rally will twist through Catskill mountain passes. Leading back to Mohonk Mountain House for Overnight and the Victory Banquet.
Friday, May 22
A lavish cruise ship-style breakfast at Mohonk Mountain House and then New England 1OOO is over till 2016. Except for new friends and great memories!
