The 9th Annual Boca Raton Concours took place this weekend at the famed Boca Raton Resort and Club as the cooler temperatures from Friday night’s Jet Port event dissipated quickly for a surprisingly warm Sunday Concours.
The fairways were lined with a wide variety of classic and contemporary automobiles from all parts of the globe and there was also a great display of vintage motorcycles and mahogany boats from Riva and others.
Tom duPont, of duPont Publishing, was working the microphone all day announcing the winners while this years Grand Marshall, Wayne Cariniwas was whipping around the field in a golf cart talking to the VIP’s, car owners and judges. Perhaps Wayne was also Chasing Cars while he was in Florida…
With Autonation as the presenting sponsor, this is a rare event where one can see a new Hyundai as well as a vintage Ferrari 250. I enjoyed the diversity, particularly the hot rods section. The flow of the layout worked well with the large crowds and one did not have to fight a line to see the cars they wanted to see.
The 10th anniversary of the Boca Raton Concour is next year and I hope to see you there!
