Dating back to 1950, when the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® and Pebble Beach Road Races were first held, the automotive-related events on the Monterey Peninsula each August have made this gorgeous coastal area the undisputed global epicenter of car culture. This year, live events are back and span Friday, August 6 to Sunday, August 15. Auction events will be presented by Bonhams, Gooding and Company, Mecum Auctions, RM Sotheby’s, and Russo and Steele.
Other highly anticipated events will include the Monterey Pre-Reunion and Rolex Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Pebble Beach RetroAuto. Kicking off Monterey Car Week on Friday, August 6th is, appropriately enough, the Monterey Car Week Kick-Off at the corner of Alvarado and Franklin Streets in Old Monterey, along with the nearby Concours at Pasadera, a new event you should attend early in the week’s festivities. Displays of automobilia, luxury lifestyle brands, exotic supercars and even expert panel discussions round out the massive Monterey event roster.
