A Bevy of Beverly Hills Beauties
This weekend, a cavalcade of over 150 pre-1974 classic cars will assemble in Beverly Hills to be judged on their originality, beauty, and historical import. Held at the private estate of the eponymous Greystone Mansion, the Concours d’Elegance boasts entrants from all around the world, with equally diverse vehicles from marques as exotic as their coachwork.
For the event, the Mansion is repurposed into a high-end marketplace, with vendors selling automobilia, unique gifts, and supercars parked in stone-lined courtyards. The Mansion also hosts a number of lectures and book signings on the day of the event, including a talk on the passion of the collector by David Gooding of Gooding & Company auctions.
Admission includes unlimited gourmet food, drinks and libations, as well as a tour through the private Greystone Estate – a nationally-registered landmark that has served as a regular filming ground for a number of box-office hits. More importantly, attendance offers an opportunity to be a part of one of California’s most prestigious events and bear witness to the running of distinguished automobiles rarely seen outside of private collections. Proceeds from the Concours support the Friends of Greystone, a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization with a mission to preserve the Greystone Estate
