A Testament to Incredible Quality
A mainstay on the global collector car calendar, the RM Sothebys 2015 Hershey Auction is known for its presentation of exceptional Brass and Classic Era motor cars, with a strong emphasis on significant American marques and renowned private collections. A testament to the incredible quality of the automobiles on offer, RM Sothebys posted its strongest Hershey results to date in 2014 and we expect those numbers to be surpassed in this weekend’s auction. Premier’s Team will be watching several cars at the sale both Friday and Saturday, and we are prepared to help you lease the car of your dreams, today.
1914 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost
Premier’s West Coast Sales Manager, Juan Garcia is watching the 1914 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost at Lot 162. Juan’s favorite car ever is the 1907 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost AX- 201 because of his first-hand experience with it while working at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, England. This extremely rare Silver Ghost was formerly part of the Henry Ford, Moser and Solove collections.
1929 Chrysler Series 75 Roadster
Premier’s Southeast Sales Manager, Chris Warren is keeping his eyes trained on the 1929 Chrysler Series 75 Roadster at Lot 135. Chris loves the pre-war selection at this auction but this particular lot caught his eye because one of Premier’s collectors recently leased a 1928 Chrysler Model 72. This car has the same model and body style of the vehicle entered into the 1929 Hours of Le Mans and is sure to draw a crowd when the bidding begins.
1937 Cord 812 Supercharged Phaeton
Keith Neelans, Premier’s Northeast Sales Manager is curious to see how the 1937 Cord 812 Supercharged Phaeton performs at Lot 179. This car was formerly owned by Leo “Bud” Oser and Richard & Linda Kughn and was originally restored in the late 1960s by Ralph Hubler, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. This 812 Phaeton has benefitted from long-term ownership and conservation by these very well-known Cord enthusiasts, and it would be ideal for showing at concours events.
1913 Pierce Arrow Model 66 Seven Passenger Touring
Michelle Yancey, Premier’s Southwest Sales Manager is watching the 1913 Pierce Arrow Model 66 at Lot 267. Michelle has chosen this vehicle because it is identical to the very first car she financed many years ago when she began in the exotic and vintage automobile industry. The auction catalogue describes this Model 66 Pierce-Arrow as occupying “the same position among Brass Era automobiles that the Bugatti Type 41 La Royale does among its Classic Era brethren. It was the largest, grandest, and most potent thing produced by a manufacturer during its time. For collectors, it is simply the Holy Grail.”
1923 Duesenberg Model A Sport Phaeton
Premier’s Midwest Sales Manager, Dave Accorsi believes the striking 1923 Duesenberg at Lot 161 is worth watching this weekend. Dave says the car’s history, in addition to its beauty, makes is a great concours entry. After undergoing a 20 year restoration process to preserve its original authenticity, this Duesenberg is finished in a rich deep velvet green, with an oak green leather interior, and it presents beautifully in every regard.
